Nikon D700
The location was a multiplex electronics shopping mall where various brands compete. Ideas were needed to create a differentiable brand image for the Nikon D700, starting from the entrance of the mall and eventually generating actual purchases. Seoul Sindorim Subway Station is one of the largest stations in Korea with daily passing population of five hundred thousand people. An outdoor light box equipped with a motion detector was installed at the connecting passageway at the station, along with a red carpet leading to the Nikon shop located in the mall. This interactive light box made people feel as though they became superstars walking down a red carpet for a luxurious award. This experience has created a very special and unique brand image of the Nikon D700 and succeeded in triggering purchase intentions. Strengthen a positive brand image of the Nikon D700 and maximize sales among passersby of Sindorim Subway Station (five hundred thousand per day). Bronze Cannes Lions Media Winner. Second Alternate Trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo
Just last week, Disney debuted the official US trailer for Ponyo , the newest Hayao Miyazaki film hitting theaters here fairly soon. However, I feel like the trailer got lost in the mix last week, with the debut of Transformers 2 and everything. Additionally, Disney has released a slightly different version of that same trailer that includes an extended segment in the middle highlighting the actors they hired to voice this US release of the film. Drew McWeeny at HitFix just reviewed it: ” Ponyo is a singular experience, animation as pure emotion, a love story and an adventure and one of the real treats for 2009 so far.” I hope you enjoy! Watch the alternate trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo : An animated adventure centered on a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human. You can also check out an old Japanese teaser trailer right here if interested. Ponyo on the Cliff is both written and directed by master animator Hayao Miyazaki , of Castle in the Sky , My Neighbor Totoro , Princess Mononoke , Spirited Away , and Howl’s Moving Castle previously. The film was animated at the legendary Studio Ghibli. This was released in Japan last summer and was a huge hit at the box office. Disney is bringing Ponyo on the Cliff , now known as just Ponyo , to theaters on August 14th . Discover More: Opinions , Trailers , Worth Watching

Mike Mignola Contributed to The Hobbit for a Few Weeks
Not surprising to hear, considering Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is credited for the story on Hellboy II: The Golden Army and did work closely with Guillermo del Toro on both of those movies, but it is exciting nonetheless. Collider talked with Mignola on the red carpet of the Saturn Awards last week and got a small tidbit out of him about The Hobbit . “I actually did go down to New Zealand for just about a week and a half, really… It was really quick, and I did a little bit of work on The Hobbit .” What exactly did he do? He wouldn’t say, but our guess is he worked on some of the early concept art drawings, as he’s also an artist. So what can we expect from this Guillermo del Toro and Mike Mignola team up briefly for The Hobbit ? “It’s hard to say at this point, because so much work had been done before I even got there that I looked at it and I [said] wow, it looks like a 16 hour, insane movie, there’s so much in it . It’s too early for me to tell how much stuff is going to get paired down. I don’t really feel comfortable saying too much, except that it looks amazing . And it’s very much a del Toro stamp on that world.” So there’s the first response from someone who has been down to New Zealand and seen first hand exactly what del Toro’s version of The Hobbit looks like so far. Mike Mignola is a good guy and I trust him. If you’re not sure about this, just watch the interview video on Collider , and you can tell that he wouldn’t just hype things up without good reason. For those who are dying for more updates on The Hobbit , word is that there might be some big announcements coming during Comic-Con. I mean, we already know that Peter Jackson himself will be there , so maybe he’ll be hosting a Hobbit panel as well. As always, stay tuned for the latest! Discover More: Movie News , Opinions
